Special ICON alert: Consultation on Part 3 of the FOI Guidelines closing 17 June 2025

Part 3 of the FOI Guidelines — Processing and deciding FOI requests is currently under review.

We are keen to have practitioners’ feedback and have published a consultation draft and list of key changes to the current Part 3 on our webpage Consultation on Part 3 — Processing and deciding FOI requests | OAIC.

The closing date for submissions is 17 June 2025.

We intend to publish all submissions on the OAIC website. We are unable to consider any submission made in confidence, so please ensure that your submission does not contain confidential information, or information that you do not want to be made public.
